Blair Software Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Blair Software, LLC (“Blair Software”, “we”, “us”) collects,
uses, and shares personal information through our company website at blairsoftware.com and
www.blairsoftware.com, and through related emails we send or receive about the company (together,
the “Site”). Blair Software, LLC is the data controller for the information this policy covers.
Our products have their own policies. MyBillables and any other Blair Software products collect
and use information under their own privacy notices (for example at mybillables.com). This policy
covers only the company Site.
The short version
- The Site is a company website. It has no accounts and no product workspaces.
- We collect what we need to run the Site, answer emails you send us, and—only if you allow it—understand how people find and use the Site. We don’t sell or share personal information for advertising.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
1. Information we collect
You give us
- Emails and messages: when you write to
hello@blairsoftware.comor another Blair Software address linked from the Site, we receive whatever you include (for example your name, email address, company, and the content of your message). That includes questions about our products and inquiries about custom web or mobile development.
Collected automatically
- Server and delivery logs: when you visit the Site, our hosting provider may record technical details such as IP address, request time, URL, and browser or device type, used to deliver, secure, and debug the Site.
- Website analytics: only if you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your approximate location (country or city), and your browser and device type. See §5.
- Cookies and similar storage: see §5.
- Attribution: if you arrive through a campaign link, the referring page and campaign
(
utm_*) parameters may be recorded with analytics, only when analytics is allowed.
We don’t run account sign-in, waitlists, payment forms, or product databases on this Site.
2. How we use information
2.1 To operate the Site
To host and deliver pages, keep the Site secure, and fix problems. Legal bases (EU/UK): legitimate interests in running a company website.
2.2 To respond to you
To read and reply to emails and other messages you send us, including product questions and custom development inquiries. Legal bases: legitimate interests, and performance of a contract or steps toward one when you ask us to discuss paid work.
2.3 To understand how the Site is used
If you allow analytics cookies, to count visits and see which pages and channels help people find us. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
2.4 To meet legal obligations
To keep records where the law requires, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Use.
What we don’t do: we don’t sell personal information, we don’t “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as California law defines it), and we don’t use Site visitor data to train AI models.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only:
- With service providers who process it for us under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for us (§4).
- For legal reasons: to comply with law or valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the Site.
- In a business transfer: as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy’s protections, with notice where practical.
- With your consent or at your direction.
4. Service providers
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting and delivery of the Site | United States (us-east-2, Ohio) |
| Google (Google Analytics) | Website analytics, for visitors who allow it | United States, and globally |
Email you send us is handled by the email systems we use to receive and reply. We don’t publish a separate sub-processor list for this Site beyond the table above.
5. Cookies
Analytics, only with your consent. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and
use the Site. Its cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>, kept up to 2 years) are set only after you choose
Accept in the cookie banner. Until then, and if you decline, we do not load Google Analytics
and no analytics cookies are set. We store your choice in your browser (localStorage). You can
change it at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; declining removes the
analytics cookies.
We don’t use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Google Analytics advertising features, Google signals, and ad personalization are turned off. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires.
The Site doesn’t use a login session cookie.
6. Where data is stored, and international transfers
Site hosting and analytics are processed in the United States. If you’re outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed there. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where a provider participates in it.
7. How long we keep information
- Email and correspondence: as long as needed to handle your request and our related business records, then longer only if the law requires.
- Website analytics: 14 months in Google Analytics, then deleted by Google.
- Server logs: as retained by our hosting provider for delivery and security, typically a short period unless needed longer to investigate an incident.
- Cookie preference: until you clear site data in your browser or change the setting.
8. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit (TLS) to the Site and access controls for systems we use to run it. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy in a portable format;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don’t do either) and of targeted advertising (we don’t do it);
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights;
- appeal our decision on your request, and complain to your data protection authority.
How to exercise them: email privacy@blairsoftware.com. We’ll verify your request, usually by
confirming control of the email address involved, and respond within the time the law requires
(generally 30 days for GDPR and 45 days for California). You can use an authorized agent where the
law allows.
California notice at collection. In the last 12 months we’ve collected the categories described in §1: identifiers (such as email address and IP address), internet activity (logs and, with consent, analytics), and any professional information you include in a message. We collect them for the purposes in §2, disclose them only as in §3, keep them as in §7, and don’t sell or share them.
10. Children
The Site is for businesses and isn’t directed to children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We’ll post changes here and update the effective date. For material changes, we’ll provide notice on the Site before they take effect where practical.
